George Clooney's fiance congratulated by her law firm

Amal Alamuddin's law firm yesterday issued a statement that confirmed reports she and Oscar-winner George Clooney have become engaged. "The barristers and staff of Doughty Street Chambers offer their best wishes and congratulations to Ms. Amal Alamuddin, a member of Chambers, and Mr. George Clooney on their engagement to be married," the London firm said. "Entertainment Tonight" reported over the weekend that human-rights and international-law attorney Alamuddin, 36, and the formerly confirmed bachelor Clooney, 52, recently became engaged.
