Giants get off to fast start on offense and defense
The Giants defense has gotten off to a great start so far. They forced a three-and-out on their first series and then Dru Phillips forced a fumble on the Dolphins' second possession that Micah McFadden recovered.
It was a great recovery by Phillips, who gave up a 30-yard completion three plays before. He also committed a pass interference on the catch but the Dolphins declined the penalty. Phillips made up for it by coming in off a blitz to jar the ball loose and McFadden landed on it.
The offense started the game strong with an 83-yard scoring drive. It was capped by Jameis Winston rushing in for an 11-yard touchdown. The drive also featured Calvin Austin III rushing for a 21-yard gain on an end-around.
