Giants waive Miller, but WR still a crowded position
The Giants waived receiver Ryan Miller on Monday morning. Miller played in Saturday's preseason win but has mostly been on third-team duty and special teams.
The team still has a logjam at receiver to sort out ahead of Sunday's deadline to trim the roster to 53 players. They currently have 11 receivers on the roster, and it's likely that Braxton Berrios will slot at returner.
Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton, Darnell Mooney, Calvin Austin III and rookie Malachi Fields are the likely roster locks. That means it'll be critical this week for Odell Beckham Jr. to make a late push if he hopes to make the team. Jalin Hyatt likely is facing the end of his Giants tenure as the fourth-year WR has been a non-factor in camp.
