Howdy, y'all.

I'm a little late getting out of the gate, but here's the best of the best from this past week. All performances are up till Sunday, April 16 - so, all you lacrosse players who just scored 11 goals with five assists, including the game-winner in double OT, don't fret! I'll getcha this weekend.

Legggggggooooooooooo (That's "Let's Go" in student-athlete speak. Twitter told me so.)

Lindsey Eggers, Longwood – Talk about doing it all: Eggers controlled a ground ball and scored unassisted in the sudden death overtime period to give Longwood a 19-18 win over Sachem North. She tied the score at 18 in the second overtime period, and finished with three goals.

Christina Esposito, West Babylon – Esposito takes her regular spot in #GoF, this time with a career-high 11 points over Whitman (four goals and seven assists).

Jackie Niciforo, East Islip – The senior scored a career-high six goals in a 13-10 win over Half Hollow Hills.

Nicole Dale, Sachem North – …and the other side of that coin. Dale scored eight goals in the 19-18 OT loss to Longwood.

Dawn Hickey, Connetquot - …and more seniors doing cool things. She scored a career-high five goals in a 15-11 win over Brentwood.

Elizabeth Pellechi, Smithtown East – Pellechi was all over the field in the 20-6 win over North Babylon – seven goals, three assists.

Courtney Murphy, Floyd – Eight goals, one assist, all dominance in the 12-8 win over Patchogue.

Natalie Silvers, Kings Park – Silvers gets gold for consistency – five goals, four goals and two assists and five goals and one assist in Kings Park’s three wins this week.

Tiana Parrella, Miller Place – Was there any point where she wasn’t touching the ball in the 17-2 win over Center Moriches? Five goals, three assists, 10 draw controls.

Hannah Burnett, Huntington – Grrrrrrrl, you clutch. Tied at 11 with just under 2:00 left, Burnett scored the go-ahead goal off an assist from Alexis Thompson to lead Huntington in the 12-11 win over Islip. She finished with six goals and two assists.
