Give food, save on Shelter Island book fees

On Shelter Island, anyone who brings a can or box of nonperishable food into the library as a donation will be able to take one dollar off their overdue-fine account for the entire month of December.

All food donations will go to the Shelter Island Food Pantry.

The food pantry, which is in the Shelter Island Presbyterian Church at 32 N. Ferry Rd. , is supported by a number of community organizations and local residents.
