Glazer caps Seaford girls win over Clarke
Ali Glazer scored off a pass from Shannon Spurrell with 2:18 left in the game to give Seaford a 12-11 win over Clarke Tuesday in Nassau Conference C girls lacrosse. Amelia Taylor's goal with 4:13 remaining tied the score at 11 for Seaford (7-2).Glen Cove 13, Sewanhaka 12: Alex Gerin had four goals and three assists, including the winner with 3:20 remaining for Glen Cove (6-6) in Conference III. Island Tress 17, Mineola 16: Allison Merrill broke a tie at 15 with 2:27 left and then assisted Brianna Wilson, who scored with 36 seconds left to give Island Trees (4-5) a 17-15 lead in Conference IV. Merrill had eight goals.
Long Island Lutheran 17, Rye Country 16: Sophomore Nicole Sinacori scored a career-high nine goals for LuHi (10-1) in IPPSAL.
BOYS lacrosseConnetquot 7, East Islip 6: Joe Scocco had 14 saves, Steven Hartnet went 12-for-16 on faceoffs and Mike Tromp had three goals and two assists for Connetquot (3-10) in Division I.
Riverhead 12, Patchogue-Medford 11: Ryan Hubbard netted his fifth goal to tie the score with 2:38 remaining and R.J. Foster picked up a ground ball and scored the winner with 21 seconds left to lead Riverhead (8-5) in Division I.
Carey 15, New Hyde Park 8: Mike Locicero and Matt Robison each had four goals and two assists to lead Carey (3-5) in Conference B-I.East Meadow 5, Hicksville 3: Dylan Curry had three goals to lead East Meadow (5-5) in Conference A.Floyd 8, Commack 7: Eddie Hilkewicz scored the winner off an assist from Jake Jacobson just one minute into overtime for Floyd (4-9) in Division I. Hilkewicz finished with two goals and two assists and Glen Morfis had three goals and an assist. Northport 15, Whitman 6: Sean Gilroy had six goals and Ryan Napolitano added three goals and an assist to lead Northport (8-5) in Division I. West Islip 17, Lindenhurst 6: Brendan Smith had six goals and two assists and Tom Moore added three goals and two assists for West Islip (13-0) in Division I.
