Glenn girls basketball coach Andy Athanas picked up career win No. 300 tonight with a 45-39 win over Comsewogue. Athanas has coached 25 years at Glenn, which is the defending Long Island Class A champions.
Glenn has won two consecutive Suffolk Class A championships. Glenn won the state and Federation Class B titles in 2005.
"It's the longevity," Athanas told Newsday. "I've coached some great kids; that's what allowed me to get to this milestone."
