Your editorial "War on EPA is a bad idea" [Jan. 3] was one of the best pieces of political satire since Jonathan Swift wrote "A Modest Proposal," in which he suggested the Irish solve their hunger problem by eating their own children.

In the midst of one of the coldest winters in memory across the world, this editorial not once, but three times, uses the term "global warming." Hilarious!

If it weren't for the obvious satire, the editorial's modest proposal that President Barack Obama use the Environmental Protection Agency to circumvent the Constitution if Congress does not rubber-stamp his job-killing policies would be alarming.
