Golden Gathering Event to feature health screenings, demonstrations for seniors

State Sen. Lee M. Zeldin (R-Shirley) encourages community members to join him and his community partners Tuesday for an event to assist seniors.
The Golden Gathering Event will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Courtyard Long Island MacArthur Airport, 5000 Express Drive S., Ronkonkoma.
The event will host a variety of free health care screenings and services important to seniors, their family members and caregivers. Seniors will even be able to get free flu shots this year. All they need is a valid ID and insurance cards.
The event is free and open to the public. Vendors will be on hand to answer questions, provide demonstrations and free samples and address topics ranging from consumer protection to health and nutrition.
