Gordon Heights fire district hearing Tuesday
Brookhaven officials are holding a special public hearing Tuesday about the future of the Gordon Heights Fire District, the most-taxed fire district on Long Island.
A recently released consultants’ report recommends dissolving the district or radically scaling back its $1.4 million budget.
The meeting is from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday in the Town Hall auditorium.
