Joshlyn Grant became the fourth Oyster Bay girls basketball player to score 1,000 career points.

Grant, a five-year varsity player and three-year starter, had 20 points during the Jan. 28 game which Oyster Bay lost to Friends Academy, 39-38.

"Her toughness is what makes her stand out on the court," Oyster Bay coach Erin Egan said of her senior. "She's 5-foot-6 but a forward and she gets fouled a lot. She is able to shoot the three but it's mostly her driving to the basket [and] posting up."
