Hempstead Village residents can dispute their property assessment for the fiscal year starting June 1, during the village’s Grievance Day tomorrow.

The Board of Assessment Review is scheduled to meet from 3 to 7 p.m. at Village Hall, 99 Nichols Ct., to hear complaints about the 2012-13 tentative assessment roll.

In accordance with New York State Real Property Tax Law, Grievance Day is the deadline for submitting Form RP-524, the assessment grievance form. The board of trustees and village assessor sit on the assessment review board.

Grievance forms are available in the assessment office at 202 Jackson St. and on the village website, villageofhempstead.org, under the assessment office page.
