Guild Hall’s summer gala Friday night celebrates the opening of the museum-wide exhibition of art by Barbara Kruger in video, site-specific installation and iconic two-dimensional forms. Following the special sneak preview and cocktail hour 6 p.m. at the East Hampton museum, you can enjoy dinner and dancing to the Peter Duchin Orchestra under a tent at the oceanfront estate of Julie Taubman. A live auction will feature signed artworks by Larry Rivers, Richard Prince and Elizabeth Peyton. Plus you can bid on a studio tour of “30 Rock” personally conducted by Alec Baldwin. The gala will wind up at about 11 p.m. For tickets (patrons: $500 cocktail preview, $1,200 for entire evening; junior patrons: $50 or $500), call 631-324-0806.
