You may have outgrown trick-or-treating, but you're never too old for Halloween fun. Even those who prefer not to dress up will get into the spirit with these spooky themed games. Your guests will continue to mingle while participating in these activities.
Here's five easy to play games that won?t take too much prep time.
Liq-or-Treat
Let your guests trick-or-treat around the house by visiting different beverage stations and sipping on Halloween-themed drinks along the way. Try including some of these 20 fall cocktail recipes in your liq-or-treat stations.
You'll need: Liquor stations with pre-made cocktails.
Guess Who
Keep your guests guessing with this easy-to-play game that can last all night. When they arrive, tape a small paper to each of their backs with the name of a Halloween movie character on it. They?ll have to ask around throughout the night to gain clues that will help them get closer to guessing which character they are. This guessing game can help serve as an early party ice-breaker.
You'll need: Paper with names of characters, tape.
Decoration Concentration
If you?re big on decorating, this card question game will make your guests appreciate your ghoulish-themed props. Before the party, make cards with questions on them that your guests (in groups) will attempt to answer. Each question should relate to a Halloween decoration that you have placed in the room. ?Name five creatures found in the living room,? for example. Guests will have to pay attention to their surroundings to answer correctly. The first group to answer the most questions correctly, wins.
You'll need: Indoor Halloween decorations and trivia cards.
Movie Trivia
Before your guests arrive, make cards with trivia questions from classic Halloween movies on them. Write the answers on the backs and have your guests quiz each other on their spooky film knowledge. You can leave these cards around for guests to play as they please, or turn it into a competative group activity.
You'll need: Cards with trivia questions.
Character Recall
Place note cards that have Halloween concepts and characters on the back of them in different areas of the house. Make two cards for each character and place them in different areas throughout the party room. Guests can flip over the cards while they mingle. They will have to remember where they saw the card's mate to make a match.
You'll need: Two of each character card.
