The Hampton Bays Lions Club will hold its first walk/run fundraiser, “Over the Bridge,” on Sept. 17.

It will include both a 5K run/community walk and a 10K run over the Ponquogue Bridge. The starting time is 9 a.m.

The entry fee is $20 for preregistration and $25 on race day. The money raised will benefit the Lions Club’s charities, including the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, educational scholarships, the town’s library, the Dominican Sisters, and various sports programs.

Registration is ongoing. See www.hblions.com or www.islandrunning.net for registration forms.
