Alex Hampton hit a three-pointer with four seconds left to win it for Baldwin, 56-54, Saturday over Massapequa in Nassau Conference AA-I girls basketball.

Casey Bartels' free throw had given Massapequa a one-point lead with 17 seconds left. Hampton had 15 points and seven assists. Shayna Gatling had 15 points and five steals and Kailyn Russell 10 points and 10 rebounds for Baldwin (2-0). After scoring only 14 in the first half, the Chiefs regrouped with a 25-16 third quarter, led by Nikki Daly, who scored 23 points.

Ward Melville 39, Whitman 37: Up by two, a steal from Caysea Cohen with 2.8 seconds remaining sealed the victory for Ward Melville (8-1) in the finale of the Suffolk Shootout in Northport. Georgia Holland led the winners with 14 points and nine assists. Kaitlyn Carballeira chipped in 10 points and 17 rebounds.

Northport 51, Wyandanch 46: Grace Schilling had 13 points and six assists to lead Northport (5-1) in the third-place game of the Suffolk Shootout. Megan Marinelli added 11 points, going 4-for-4 from the free-throw line in the final 40 seconds.

Kings Park 40, Harborfields 30: Jamie Romano had 14 points, 15 rebounds and eight blocks to lead Kings Park (6-1) in the fifth-place game of the Suffolk Shootout. Marion Kawecki added 10 points and four steals.

Center Moriches 54, Half Hollow Hills West 33: Jessica Bandrowski scored 19 points to lead Center Moriches (4-3) in the Suffolk Shootout. Amber Davis had 10 points, Kelsey Glanzman nine and Tashea Plummer eight.

Valley Stream South 48, Plainview JFK 47: Vania St. Louis hit a layup with five seconds left to win it for Valley Stream South (3-5) in non-league. St. Louis, who also had seven rebounds, scored six of her 15 points late in the fourth quarter. Tricia Zarro added 12 points and six assists and Ugo Nwaigwe had 10 points. Chelsea Kinstler led Plainview with 13 points.

Roslyn 50, East Rockaway 47: Samantha Richman hit two free throws with 15 seconds remaining to put Roslyn (5-3) ahead 50-47. Stefanie Klapper had 18 points and 13 rebounds for Roslyn.

Long Island Lutheran 62, Uniondale 41: Taylor Brown had 20 points, six assists and five steals to lead Long Island Lutheran (8-1). Christina Raiti added 15 points and Jess DeNicola had 13 points (9-for-10 from the line) and eight rebounds.
