Memorial Day weekend marks the start of the Hamptons season. A rundown of parties:

MONTAUK

Gurney's Inn (290 Old Montauk Hwy., 631-668-2345) brings in DJs to spin at The Regent Cocktail Club lounge space throughout the weekend (reservations required), while Harbor (440 W. Lake Dr.) hosts performances Saturday after 7 p.m. by singer Miss Velvet and classic hip-hop star Ja Rule. Bottle service is the way in to this bash -- call 631-668-8260 to pre-order a table.

Sole East is also back (90 2nd House Rd., 631-668-2105), hosting DJ Faze Friday-Saturday (10 p.m.), while its "Bossa Nova Brunch" returns on Sunday (10 a.m.-2 p.m., reservations suggested). RSVP for the Whalebone magazine launch party (4-8 p.m. Saturday).

SOUTHAMPTON DAY AND NIGHT

Beautique opens at Hotel Capri in Southampton (281 County Rd. 39A, 631-353-3400) with a Day & Night brand brunch 2 p.m. Saturday with DJs Bender and Lee Kalt, plus nightlife Friday (with DJs David Berrie and Chachi) and Saturday (DJs NVM and Audien). Sunday sees Lee Kalt back (plus DJ EDX) at 2 p.m. for a poolside party, followed by DJ Max Vangeli (after 11 p.m.) for a special shindig. Reservations are not required, but entrance is at doorman's discretion.

A bit further down the road, megaclub 1OAK (125 Tuckahoe Lane, 631-204-5433) hosts rapper Fetty Wap and DJ Jus-Ske on Sunday. Preordering bottle service suggested.

A 'SUPER' EVENT

The Hamptons Comic Book Show happens 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at 230 ELM in Southampton (230 Elm St., 631-377-3900). Scheduled guests include writer-artist Joe Kelly, role-playing game illustrator David O. Miller and Long Island-native cosplayer Kitty Young. Admission is $9 at the door (free ages 5 and younger), hamptonscomicbookshow.com.
