Hanna Jay
Hannah Jay is a multi-faceted musical talent. Not only has she participated in many of Hewlett High School’s ensembles performing since her freshman year, but she has done so at the highest of levels. She is a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, Wind Ensemble, the select Jazz Ensemble and has been a select member of the Concert Chorale and performed in several All-County Music Festivals.
Year after year, Hannah has participated in the New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Spring Evaluation Festival on Piano, Classical Voice, Vocal Jazz and Trumpet, earning high ratings for each. In addition to her accomplishments in instrumental and vocal music, Hannah has been a cast member in each of the school’s musical productions since 2007.
Last December, in addition to being selected to perform with the NYSSMA All-State Mixed Chorus, Hannah performed with the NYSSMA All-State Vocal Jazz Ensemble at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester.
