Harlem Quartet plays the Boulton Center
WHAT The Harlem Quartet has a distinct mission: to advance diversity in classical music while engaging young and new audiences. This all-black and Latino string quartet has been selected as the next resident professional ensemble at the New England Conservatory. Violinists Ilmar Gavilan and Melissa White, violist Juan-Miguel Hernandez and cellist Desmond Neysmith perform in the Islip Arts Council chamber music series at its new venue, which usually presents pop concerts.
