Hazardous-waste collection planned in Oyster Bay Town

The sixth of eight 2012 household hazardous waste, electronic waste and drug collection programs for Oyster Bay Town residents is scheduled for Sept. 8.

Hazardous waste and old prescription drugs can be safely discarded at the town Solid Waste Disposal Complex on Bethpage-Sweet Hollow Road in Old Bethpage between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The remaining collection dates are: Oct. 6, Town Hall South, 977 Hicksville Rd., Massapequa; and Nov. 4, Department of Public Works Garage, 150 Miller Pl., Syosset.
