This year’s Heart of the Hamptons Ball, held in June in Bridgehampton, raised $510,000, the American Heart Association said.

The 15th annual ball, at the Hayground School, was held in conjunction with the Stony Brook University Heart Center. Dr. Todd Rosengart, the center’s co-director, was honored at the event.

Rosengart had helped raise more than $200,000 in donations, scholarships and ticket sales for the ball; he also received the Distinguished Service Award for his work in medicine and supporting research.

The heart association said a portion of the money raised at the ball will go to heart research.

Stony Brook is receiving more than $1 million in grants from the American Heart Association over the next three years, the association said.
