Help 'Stamp Out Hunger' today

You can help fight hunger on Long Island by leaving nonperishable canned and packaged food by your mailbox as part of annual National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive.

Your letter carrier will collect the food as part of the union's annual "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive and send it to Long Island-based food pantries, soup kitchens and other hunger-relief programs.

Island Harvest and LI Cares are among the groups with hundreds of volunteers working today to organize and distribute the food.
