But do they serve popcorn?

The Town of Hempstead has begun broadcasting public service announcements on new high-definition televisions inside town hall and other facilities.

Called Hempstead TV, the broadcasts highlight initiatives such as revitalization projects and recycling programs.

The TVs are currently in place at the town clerk's office and building department inside town hall, as well as at the receiver of taxes office at 200 North Franklin St.

More locations will be added soon, the town said in a news release.

The town's public service announcements are also available on its YouTube channel.
