Hempstead Village officials will hold a Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway Tuesday.
The event will be held at Kennedy Park, 335 Greenwich St., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Supplies are low due to superstorm Sandy, so turkeys will be given away strictly based on economic need, officials said.
Turkeys will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Anyone interested in picking up a turkey must register by Monday.
For further information, call Juanita Hargwood at 516-478-6286 or visit Village Hall, 99 Nichols Ct.
