Payments to the Town of Hempstead for the first half of the 2011-12 school taxes must be received or postmarked by Nov. 10, town officials said.

Taxpayers can use several payment options, including extended hours, satellite offices, a mobile tax office, a drive-through payment window and online payments, officials said.

The main tax office at 200 North Franklin St. in Hempstead Village, will be open on business days from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The E-Z Pay Drive Thru Payment Windows will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and only accept checks and money orders. Taxpayers should bring their entire current tax bill with stub intact in order to receive an official receipt at time of payment.
