Payments to the Town of Hempstead for the first half of the 2011-12 school taxes must be received or postmarked by Nov. 10, town officials said.

Taxpayers can use several payment options, including extended hours, satellite offices, a mobile tax office, a drive-through payment window and online payments, officials said.

The main tax office at 200 North Franklin St. in Hempstead Village, will be open on business days from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The E-Z Pay Drive Thru Payment Windows will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and only accept checks and money orders. Taxpayers should bring their entire current tax bill with stub intact in order to receive an official receipt at time of payment.

Satellite offices in Lawrence and Hicksville will be open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to accept checks or money orders.

Payments with credit cards or an electronic check can be made through the town’s website, TOH.li , or by calling Official Payments Corp. at 877-306-6056.

A 2.5 percent convenience fee will be incurred for credit card payments and $2 fee will be charged for e-check transactions.
