The Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter will waive all adoption fees for cats June 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The free cat day is part of national “Adopt A Shelter Cat Month,” town officials said.

Charges will also be waived for spaying, neutering, rabies vaccinations and microchipping, town officials said.

Raffle tickets and baked goods will be available for purchase to benefit The Tails of Hope Fund, which helps finance medical costs for sick animals, officials said.

The Hempstead shelter is at 3320 Beltagh Ave. in Wantagh. More information is available at 516-785-5220 or www.toh.li/animal-shelter.
