Dominic Zvada was 3-for-3 on field-goal attempts in the Giants’ 23-6 preseason win over the Jets on Friday at MetLife Stadium. He also aced his final audition in the kicking competition with Ben Sauls.

“He did great. He’ll win the job,” coach John Harbaugh said of Zvada. “He’ll be the kicker. That was the last step when we gave him a chance to prove he could do a whole game.”

Zvada converted field goals from 23, 53 and 46 yards. He also went 2-for-2 on extra point attempts. Meanwhile Jets kicker Jason Sanders, who the Giants cut in June, fell short on a 53-yard attempt and also missed an extra point attempt.

It’s a lot of trust in an undrafted rookie but Zvada earned that trust with a big leg and being more accurate in training camp. Harbaugh also had praise for Sauls, who did not play Friday.

“I would say Ben also won a job,” said Harbaugh. “He should be kicking in the National Football League based on the fact that if we didn’t have Dominic, Ben would’ve been the guy.”
