Here's why Kenyon Sadiq didn't practice Monday

Kenyon Sadiq was held out of practice Monday because the Jets have him on a maintenance program after he underwent sports hernia surgery in May.
“We went three good hard days last week, so today we wanted to rest him,” head coach Aaron Glenn said. “So he’ll be just fine.”
Defensive tackle T'Vondre Sweat (hamstring injury), edge Joseph Ossai (PUP) and rookie corner D’Angelo Ponds (calf) continue to work out in the rehab area. Glenn said they wouldn’t practice this week. The plan is to be “very careful” and “patient” with them.
“I don't think they'll be out too much longer,” Glenn said. “But we want to do the right thing and make sure we have those guys for the regular season.”
