NICK FANTI
HAUPPAUGE, BASEBALL
Sophomore lefty set a school record with 18 strikeouts in a 7-0 win over Huntington. He allowed two hits and walked none to improve to 5-0 on the season.
CARINA ZUPA
GLEN COVE, SOFTBALL
Was an error shy of a perfect game as she threw a no-hitter with nine strikeouts and drove in two runs in a 5-0 win over Bethpage.
FRANCESCA CASALINO
HALF HOLLOW HILLS WEST, SOFTBALL
She went 5-for-5 with three RBIs, allowed three hits and struck out 15 in an 11-1 win over Newfield. She also tossed a one-hitter with 17 strikeouts in a 9-1 win over North Babylon.
CASSIE CESARIO
OCEANSIDE, LACROSSE
She had four goals and two assists, including the winner in sudden-victory triple overtime, in a 16-15 win over Friends Academy. Cesario tied it at 14 with two seconds left in regulation.
HOLLY LOGAN
COLD SPRING HARBOR, LACROSSE
She scored four goals in each of the Seahawks' three games. Logan also had six ground balls against Locust Valley, won five draw controls against Sacred Heart, and forced four turnovers against Massapequa -- all wins.
DAN GRABHER
NORTH SHORE, LACROSSE
He scored six goals and had two assists in a 12-4 win over Locust Valley. He won 23 of 29 faceoffs and scored twice in a 17-13 win over Hewlett.
NOAH WHITE
JERICHO, TRACK
The senior won the discus with a throw of 187 feet this week, to break the Nassau record of 186-3 set by Levittown's Jerry Hannon in 1971, according to coach Pete Ninivaggi.
DAMON DANIELS
WYANDANCH, TRACK
The senior won the long jump (20-9), the triple jump (41-2) and the 200 (23 seconds) in an 82-50 win over Center Moriches.
CATHERINE DOLAN
CONNETQUOT, TRACK
The senior won the long jump (17-21/2) and the 400 hurdles in 1:10.9 in a 90-60 win over Ward Melville.
EMILY ROGERS-HEALION
WARD MELVILLE, LACROSSE
She scored a career-high 10 points, then netted the final three Ward Melville goals against L.I. champ Bay Shore, including the tying goal and the winner in the second OT.
ADAM HEIDENFELDER
MacARTHUR, BASEBALL
Junior righty struck out 17 in a 9-2 win over Calhoun. He improved to 2-0.
JOE SAGGESE
SMITHTOWN EAST, LACROSSE
He scored three goals in a 15-7 victory over Connetquot and five goals in an 11-6 win over Bay Shore.
