He erased a 3-2 deficit with a duck-under takedown just before time expired to edge Connetquot's Greg Cherry and win the Suffolk League II crown at 138 pounds.

The junior center scored 26 points in a 64-63 loss to Floyd, then had a triple-double with 20 points, 15 rebounds and 10 blocks in a 52-45 victory over Longwood that clinched the Suffolk I title.

NORTHPORT, BOYS BASKETBALL
The senior center notched a triple-double with 23 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocks in a 58-53 victory over Central Islip in a battle for sole possession of first place in League II.
ARELLA GUIRANTES
BELLPORT, GIRLS BASKETBALL
The sophomore scored a career-high 37 points, including seven three-pointers, in Thursday's 66-43 win over Deer Park.
NADINE HADNAGY
FARMINGDALE, GIRLS BASKETBALL
She scored 11 of her 25 points in the fourth quarter and had eight steals as the Dalers came from behind to beat Freeport, 51-43, and earn coach Pete Cerrone his 500th win.

FLOYD, GIRLS BASKETBALL
She scored the winning basket against Commack, and followed it with a career-high 31 points in a 57-47 victory over Brentwood.

HERRICKS, GIRLS BASKETBALL
She had her second 30-point game of the season when she scored 30 with nine rebounds in a 48-25 win over Carey. She also had 25 points and 10 rebounds in a 51-26 win over Elmont.
REBECCA MUSGROVE
ST. ANTHONY'S, GIRLS BASKETBALL
The senior scored a career-high 31 points in a 74-54 win over St. John the Baptist.
BRIAN DOYLE
ST. ANTHONY'S, TRACK
The senior had a pole vault of 13-3 to win the event at the NSCHSAA championships and lead St. Anthony's to the title.
ALYSSA YEBOAH-KODIE
GARDEN CITY, TRACK
The eighth-grader won the 55-meter hurdles in 9.64 seconds at the Nassau Conference III championships. Garden City scored 153 points en route to the title.
CRYSTAL GREEN
UNIONDALE, TRACK
The sophomore won the 55-meter hurdles and the 300 meters at the Nassau Conference I championships. She finished the 300 in 43.10 seconds and the 55 hurdles in 8.70 as Uniondale won the title with 130 points.
