Watch out for Elmont

Every day, someone's knocking someone off in Nassau Conference ABC-I. One team that hasn't yet is Elmont, but the Spartans could be trouble. "They're better than people think," said Garden City coach Anthony Sparacia, whose team survived a late scare before a 56-45 win. "They can do some damage."

Elmont lost to Wantagh, South Side and Sacred Heart by a combined 11 points. Jasmine Cobbs, Alex Clark, Reauna Dorner, Bria Fisher and Bianca Jones are all capable. "I tell them I don't care who scores," Elmont coach Tom Magno said. "Everyone has the green light."
