John Schefer's two-out single drove in Quinn Ronan in the bottom of the seventh to lead No. 1 Glenn over No. 5 Shoreham-Wading River, 1-0, in Game 1 of its best-of-three Suffolk A baseball semifinal. Ronan had a pinch hit single before stealing second and coming around on Schefer's hit. Tyler Arella threw a seven-hitter with five strikeouts for Glenn (17-4). Game 2 is Saturday at noon at Shoreham-Wading River.
Comsewogue 3, Bayport-Blue Point 2: Dan Colasanto's RBI single scored John Braun in the bottom of the eighth to lead No. 2 Comsewogue (18-3) over No. 3 Bayport-Blue Point in Game 1 of a best-of-three Suffolk Class A semifinal. Colasanto allowed one earned run in a complete game. BBP hosts Game 2 today at noon.

Robert Giovanelli pitched the final three innings and struck out the final batter with the tying run on second. Manhasset will play Division in the best-of-three semifinal beginning Monday.
