Two days after being named "Mr. Basketball" in New York, Tobias Harris again is the toast of the Empire State. The Tennessee-bound senior forward from Half Hollow Hills West Thursday was named the Gatorade New York Boys Basketball Player of the Year.

Harris becomes a finalist for the Gatorade National Boys Basketball Player of the Year award to be announced later this month. He averages 25 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and three blocks for the Colts, who will play Rochester East Saturday in the state Class AA semifinals in Glens Falls.

Harris already has been selected to play in the McDonald's All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic and was named to the 2010 USA Basketball Junior National Select Team.

Said Copiague coach Steve Rebholz, "He has a lot of tools in his toolbox."
