Hurry. Hofstra University student Alex Petrucelli wants to be on the hit Fox show "Glee," and he needs your help.

A Fox affiliate in Cincinatti is taking votes for favorite video pleas submitted to its Web site. The top nine vote-getters, along with 10 already chosen at a live audition in March, will compete at College-Consevatory of Music on April 9. The overall winner will have a video submission produced by FOX19 and sent directly to Glee casting producers. The show is seeking a few more full-time lead actors for a future season.

You can find his video and vote here.

Petrucelli, a 20-year-old public relations major from Commack, says he's done some acting and dancing in off-campus productions and in Web series, and fell in love with the show at the start.

"It has all the right elements in place," he said today. He likes the edginess of its characters and its avoidance of cliches. Plus, of course, there's the music.

Petrucelli met the cast at the Roosevelt Field Mall when the show released a CD, and he's familiar with Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry in the show.

Winning, he says, would "mean everything."

Voting ends at 10 p.m. tonight.
