Hofstra University’s athletic website offers real-time scoring, but Twitter can be more convenient for some people to keep up with in-game updates, said Stephen Gorchov, Hofstra’s associate director of athletics for communications. With so many athletes coming from across the country and around the world, Gorchov said keeping proud parents updated via Twitter “is something we are more than happy to provide.”
