Holbrook grad in MTV dream job battle
It’s every recent college grad’s dream: an exciting job with a big company with a six-figure salary. Holbrook resident Dan Chizzoniti could soon have it all.
Chizzoniti, who graduated from Boston University in May, was named a finalist Thursday in a competition whose winner will become the social media face of MTV.
In “Follow Me: The Search for the first MTV TJ,” run by MTV and ZYNC from American Express, Chizzoniti, 22, will square off against 19 other social media pop-culture aficionados in “head-to-head, Twitter-centric challenges” for the title of Twitter Jockey starting in July. The competition culminates in a live finale on Aug. 8. The winner will be chosen by text votes from the MTV audience.
The winner’s first high-profile assignment will be to report from the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sept. 12.
