HOLIDAY CLOSINGS

Wednesday is Christmas Day. Government offices, schools, courts, the financial markets and post offices will be closed. No mail will be delivered except for Priority Express Mail. The LIRR is offering 13 extra afternoon esastbound trains on Dec. 24. On Wednesday, a weekend/holiday schedule is in effect.
