Holiday closings

Monday is Columbus Day. Government offices, courts and public schools are closed. Post offices are closed and there is no delivery except for Express Mail. The New York Stock Exchange is open. Banks have the option to close or stay open. The Long Island Rail Road will operate on a normal weekday schedule, as will New York City subways and buses.
