Holiday schedule
Today is Thanksgiving. Government offices, schools, courts, the financial markets and post offices will be closed. A Long Island Rail Road holiday schedule will be in effect, with six extra westbound trains and 11 extra eastbound trains. Friday, Black Friday, the LIRR will run on a weekday schedule with off-peak fares in effect all day.
