The 8th Annual Hot Chocolate 5K Run/Walk, organized by the Seaford Wellness Council, will be held Saturday at 9 a.m.

The Run/Walk will start just south of Seaford High School on 1575 Seamans Neck Rd. Last year, almost 1,000 people participated in the event, which is the nonprofit group’s primary fundraiser, organizers said.

Post-race hot chocolate and bagels will be available in the high school cafeteria. The awards ceremony and raffle drawings will take place in the high school’s refurbished Manso Auditorium about 10:30 a.m.

Sign up for the event for a fee of $30 at the high school auditorium Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. or before the event Saturday from 7 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
