David Bailey knows the pressure that comes with being the No. 2 overall pick. He said it’s in “back of your mind,” but the rookie edge rusher tries not to focus on it.

“I try to say like, ‘Nothing has changed,’ ” Bailey said. “If I want to be the best, I got certain things that I need to do.”

Those things are study the playbook, take care of his body, keep learning from teammates and watching film of pass rushers that Bailey can emulate.

Bailey was disruptive the first two practices of camp. Of course, winning a Defensive Rookie of the Year is a goal, but Bailey feels if he does the aforementioned things, all good things will come.

“I feel like once you do certain things once you take care of certain everything else will follow,” Bailey said. “The accolades will follow, the accomplishments, the success will follow — on a personal level and on a team level.”
