Lynbrook emerging in Conference IV
Lynbrook’s offense impressed last season, and now its defense has taken the next step.
The Owls defeated defending champion Seaford, 24-21, in Week 1 before holding Locust Valley to seven points in Week 2.
Edge rushers Chris Sommer and Peter Rahaniotis have helped lead the unit and apply pressure to the quarterback.
“We try to focus on limiting the big play,” Lynbrook coach David Yaker said. “We did a great job compared to last year. We have a mix of returning guys and players coming up from the JV contributing.”
