Sachem North creating separation

Sachem North had a highly anticipated matchup with Floyd, a team that has set the bar for Suffolk Division I for quite some time. Two-way lineman Dwayne Dumpson helped Sachem North own the trenches in a 35-13 win Friday night.

“I thought the offensive line controlled the line of scrimmage, and we were able to get the ball in our playmakers’ hands,” Sachem North coach Dave Caputo said. “Everyone sees the passing game and everything else, but you have to be able to control the front, and we did that on both sides of the ball.”

Three-year starting quarterback Luke LaRocca has plenty of weapons, including Jon Mullaly, Gavin Nuzzi and Lucas Bouchard, who all made plays. The Arrows are in the championship conversation.
