Albino alligators, potbellied pigs and exotic reptiles invaded Suffolk County Community College’s Brentwood campus this weekend.

Hundreds of animal lovers attended the two-day Long Island Pet Expo, which started Saturday and ended Sunday.

Animal rescue shelters, pet adoption agencies, vendors selling pet needs and animal shows were among the expo’s offerings.

"It's important because it promotes responsible pet ownership and the commitment you are making when you choose a pet,” said expo organizer Dennis Garetano.
