Huntington rec dept. moving to golf course
Town of Huntington residents who want to sign up for Parks and Recreation Department programs won’t be able to do so at Town Hall for the time being.
Office renovations there are forcing the department to move to the Dix Hills Golf Course Clubhouse, starting Tuesday and lasting approximately two months.
Residents can register for programs and purchase cards for facility access at the clubhouse, which is located at 575 Vanderbilt Pkwy., Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. They can do the same at the Dix Hills Ice Rink, which is located in the same complex as the golf course, on Monday and Wednesday evenings until 10 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Residents can also sign up using the town's new registration system, WebTrac, at the town website.
For more information, call the Parks and Recreation Department at 631-351-3089.
