Huntington releases new Android phone app for town services

The Town of Huntington has released  an Android phone application for Huntington @ Your Service, the town's online information and help system.

The app was developed to extend the service’s features to Android phone users, a Huntington Town news release said.

It can either be downloaded from the town’s website, http://HuntingtonNY.gov, or through the Google Play apps store.

Huntington @ Your Service allows residents to request and access information electronically.

An iPhone app has been available since the service started on March 1.

The town has received more than 1,000 requests through the new service, a news release said, since it started less than two months ago. Some 95 percent of the queries have been addressed and closed, the town says.
