The Town of Huntington will rename a street in Huntington Station in memory of a resident who died in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
A section of Sherman Street, where 9/11 victim Michael Taddonio lived, will be renamed Sherman Street/Michael Taddonio Way at a ceremony at 1 p.m. Monday at the corner of Sherman and Hobson Place.
Taddonio was a 39-year-old broker and father of three. He was at his job with Euro Brokers on the 91st floor of the World Trade Center's Tower Two when the second plane hit.
At the request of his family, the town board voted unanimously to rename the portion of Sherman Street near his home in his memory.
