Huntington Town to celebrate black history

The Town of Huntington’s 25th annual Black History Month Celebration will be Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. at Town Hall (100 Main St.).
The Rev. Kevin D. Jordan, a minister with Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Huntington and dean of academic support services at Dowling College, will deliver the keynote address.
The event will also include a performance by The Michael Jazz Trio. The group is made up of the Godfrey brothers from Central Islip: keyboardist Matthew, 17, sax player David, 15, and on the drums, Jordan, 11. The trio has performed at such noted venues as the Apollo Theater and the Friars Club in Manhattan.
The celebration will also include refreshments.
