Please note that as of December 12th, you will no longer be able to log in with your Optimum ID.

Optimum ID users
You recently received an email from Optimum’s parent company, Altice USA, informing you that as of Sept. 15, Altice no longer offers free Newsday digital access with Optimum's online service. As of November XXX, Optimum IDs will not be allowed to log into the Newsday app.

What happens to Newsday subscribers who want to log in to newsday.com with their Optimum ID?
Newsday print subscribers receive Newsday digital access at no additional cost. Customers who have a Newsday subscription and are using their Optimum ID for digital access will need to register directly on newsday.com/register. If you already have a Newsday subscription but are using an Optimum log in, go to the settings section of the app, and click on log out. Then use your Newsday credentials to log back in.

Supported devices
Users with some legacy devices, no longer supported by the manfucturer, using an Optimum ID may not be able to access the Newsday app, given the software and hardware constraints. These include devices older than the iPhone 5 and the fourth generation iPad, released in 2012. In addition more modern devices that don't have the latest operating system installed (iOS 9 or later) may not be able to access the app.
