The new building at the busy Five Corners intersection in Lake Grove has sat empty  for months with no hints of what the little cream-colored shop will offer.  So residents who cruised past have formed their own theories.

A 7-Eleven, a wine bar and an Internet cafe are just some of the suggestions locals have on a Lake Grove forum under the thread,  5 Corners.

“From what I understand, it’s going to be some sort of garbage transfer station, medical waste?” said one post.

Could it really be something so sinister?

At long last, there’s an answer, and it’s a good one for some residents who, one could assume, seem to be highly caffeinated to start.

“It’s a coffee shop,” said Village Clerk Carmela Constant. “We thought it was going to be a Starbucks, but it looks like that fell through.”

She said it will probably be an independently operated java joint.
